The TOEIC® Speaking and Writing tests offer an international standard for measuring and determining speaking and writing English skills of non-native speakers of English in daily life and global workplace. The TOEIC® Speaking and Writing tests are two separated tests, so Speaking or Writing test sessions can be organised independently.

TOEIC Speaking & Writing Test Content
The tests take in total 1½ hours to complete, if taken together. Test takers speak and write in English and give their responses to real-world questions and scenarios. The test does not require specialised knowledge or vocabulary beyond that of a person who uses English in everyday life and work activities.
More detailed information on test content and sample questions can be found in the TOEIC Speaking & Writing Examinee Handbook.
When the TOEIC Speaking and Writing tests are taken together with the TOEIC® Listening and Reading test, the TOEIC test scores provide a broader trait of communicative competence in all four English-language skills that is critical in most academic and workplace settings.
