At the annual ACBSP conference in Philadelphia held on 14 June 2015,  docent Pavel Mertlík, Rector of ŠKODA AUTO University, accepted the accreditation certificate of the American association Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), awarded to ŠKODA AUTO University in November last year.

ACBSP is a leading specialised accreditation association for business education. It promotes, recognises and rewards excellent quality in education. The association highlights the benefits of excellent quality in edu- cation and emphasises on learning methodology.

Interview of our student, Asiya Yelemessova, from ŠKODA AUTO University

Asiya comes from Kazakhstan. She is studying for her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Sales. My name is Asiya Yelemessova and I come from the heart of Asia, Kazakhstan. It is my fourth year at ŠKODA AUTO University.

Before my Bachelor studies, I also attended the one-year course of Czech language and culture for foreigners. It became clear to me during the course that ŠKODA AUTO University is one of the best and most prestigious private universities, not only in the Czech Republic. This was the reason why I decided to continue studying here after the course and start my Bachelor studies, because I believe that it is very important to obtain quality knowledge and good experience that will guide me forward in the future.

Our university  offers a number of study visits and work placements abroad, which is a great opportunity to improve not only your language skills.

The CZECH REPUBLIC SPEAKS ENGLISH project is organized by ETS Global in collaboration with authorised language schools and academic institutions, and with the support of AJŠA, ACERT, Europass and the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic.

CZECH REPUBLIC SPEAKS ENGLISH is the first survey on English language competences to be conducted in the Czech Republic. The survey of its kind is designed to collect information about English language proficiency of pupils, students, public, company employees and anyone who is interested in learning how well he/she knows English.

UNIVERSITIES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC by 2013 University Web Ranking

Since 2004, the Ranking Web (or Webometrics Ranking) is published twice a year (data is collected during the first weeks of January and July for being public at the end of both months), covering more than 20,000 Higher Education Institutions worldwide.

News 10 Best Jobs of 2013 are the occupations that offer a mosaic of employment opportunity, good salary, manageable work-life balance, and job security. Some careers offer just the right mix of these components—for instance, our top tier is filled with tech and healthcare jobs—but the list also includes strong showings from occupations in the social services and business sectors.

CEITEC starts its first PhD programme „Advanced Materials and Nanosciences“ in the autumn term 2013.

Starting from the new academic year, CEITEC BUT opens a new inter-disciplinary doctoral study program “Advanced Materials and Nanoscience” that is simultaneously accredited at the Brno University of Technology, Masaryk University, and the Institute of Physics of Materials of the ASCR. Thus, the students will have the opportunity to draw on the expertise of professionals from all three institutions at the same time. They will also get a unique opportunity to use the top-of-the-art devices and technological equipment that already is available or will be acquired by CEITEC in the course of the two years to come.

With the feeling of approaching spring, universities.cz team decided to give a visit to our partnering university, Masaryk University (MU).  We woke up very early in the morning, took a Student agency bus from Prague to Brno, and arrived to MU in a good mood. MU is the second largest university of the Czech Republic. It has nine faculties: pedagogical, legal, sports scientists, social sciences, economics, medicine, computer science, natural sciences, philosophy.

This time we wanted to visit a new Campus Bohunice, the most expensive and the largest campus in whole Central Europe. It provides 5,000 students and 1,000 academic and research employees with a superior study and work environment. We were impressed to see a modern unique complex for studies at three faculties: the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Sports Studies.
