Geared for individuals who want to conceive and perform their own solo and group performances, the program in Authorial Acting develops the knowledge, skills and capabilities needed to discover and develop personal themes and cultivate the expressive means for articulating them. Careful attention is given to fundamental dramatic principles, like play and improvisation, as well as the anthropological and philosophical aspects of creativity. Acting and performance are studied in a multidisciplinary manner as creative public behaviour.
Admission requirements
- motivational letter (including the reasons why they have chosen the program in authorial acting; a reflection of their practical experience to date; and a vision of their future professional activities)
- CV with photograph
- Creative writing sample in English
- Academic transcripts from all previously attended institutions
- Relevant qualifications (undergraduate degree or equivalent, transcript of studies)
- A portfolio of work (presentation of previous works including photos, videos, website, etc.)
- Completed written application
- Appropriate letters of reference (3)
- Proof of English language proficiency (e.g., CAE, CEFR Level C1, or similar qualification)
