At the annual ACBSP conference in Philadelphia held on 14 June 2015, docent Pavel Mertlík, Rector of ŠKODA AUTO University, accepted the accreditation certificate of the American association Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), awarded to ŠKODA AUTO University in November last year.
ACBSP is a leading specialised accreditation association for business education. It promotes, recognises and rewards excellent quality in education. The association highlights the benefits of excellent quality in edu- cation and emphasises on learning methodology.
ACBSP accredits programmes focused on business and accounting on the Bachelor, Master and Doctoral level worldwide. ACBSP was recognised by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in 2001 and again in 2011 and was the first accreditation association offering specialised accreditation of business studies at all levels. ACBSP promotes continuous improvement and recognises outstanding quality through accreditation of business education across the globe.
The fact that ŠKODA AUTO UNIVERSITY has indeed caught the interest of this prestigious American association is also evidenced by the fact that the representatives of ŠKODA AUTO University were asked to make a presentation at the conference on how high education quality can be achieved through the partnership with the business sector. Mgr. Lenka Stejskalová and docent Pavel Štrach have prepared a presentation called ‘Only the Best is Good Enough: Sharing European Experience from Business Industry Interactions’.
