The field of study is concentrated namely on the field of continuum mechanics and focused both on the mechanics of solids and deformable bodies and topics from flow and heat and mass transfer. An integral part of education in this field of study is extension of applied theoretical and applied physics. The necessary mathematical tools enable the students wide-range utilization of computers for dealing with complex tasks from technical practice. The graduates are able to creatively apply their theoretical knowledge. They master analysis of dynamic systems, synthesis and creation of concepts of mechanisms, optimal dimensioning of machine components, assessment of life of machines and testing of their reliability. They are able to deal with complex tasks in the field of mechanics of incompressible and compressible bodies, theory of thermal calculations of machines and equipment. The graduates are able to utilize methods and means of engineering experimental research of machines and structures. The study is focused on preparing well-trained experts in the sphere of research, development and practice of all fields of mechanical engineering.
