This field of study is closely related with other fields of study extending theoretical fundalmentals. It is focused on the mathematical solution of issues of continuum mechanics specifically environmental mechanics. An integral characteristic of education in this field of study is the extension of knowledge of mechanics, namely mechanics of the flow of fluids and gases. The necessary theoretical background enables the students to apply sophisticated mathematical tools to description of complex processes.
