The course focuses on the development of and research into new materials - in particular composites with a polymer matrix, polymer alloys - and on mastering and comprehension of rules influencing the structure and properties of materials. Special attention is paid to the issue of preparation of plans for production of new types of materials with targeted utility properties (physical, chemical, biochemical). Students will acquaint themselves with physical, physicochemical and chemical properties of basic polymer materials. Students are enabled to use the latest computer technology in order to simulate the required physicochemical properties. Within the degree course Material Engineering, students can also choose the specialization in Glass and Ceramics. Graduates are specialists in a wide sphere of production, development and technology of materials.
