Doctoral study expands and extends the range of knowledge of the physical nature of properties of metallic and non-metallic materials in relation with their electronic, atomic, molecular and crystalline structure. Emphasis is laid particularly on assessment of the structure and properties of materials, their processing, diagnostics and application in engineering and other fields – e.g. biomedicine. Students can orientate their study programmes on metallic materials, metal matrix composites (MMC) or on polymers, ceramics and polymer matrix composites (PMC).Graduated students can apply for a job in all technical fields – Engineering, Energetics, Biomedicine, Transport, Military technologies.
